Important Information
We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research on their breed of choice and be prepared with questions to ask breeders. Please be sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you and your family but also that you’re getting him/her from the right breeder.
As a responsible kennel owner, we only have a limited number of litters each year. The majority of the puppies born at Light Foot Kennel that are not kept; are procured by show, working, or active homes. Our main focus is building an outstanding kennel of purebred working huskies.
All of our puppies are raised with lots of care and attention from our family. Puppies are usually ready to move to their new homes at around 8-9 weeks of age and will be current on wormings, age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

Our puppies will stay with their mothers until the puppies are at least eight weeks old. While we know you are anxious to bring home your new addition, we will not make any exceptions to this time frame, but we are happy to keep you updated on your puppy's development until he/she is ready to go home. All Huskies are born with blue eyes. Usually, the permanent color is determined between six and eight weeks. Also, note that a Husky's coat color will change as they get older - it may lighten or darken in time. We breed for quality genetics, temperament, and health; therefore, eye or coat color is not guaranteed, nor is it a basis for a refund. The health of our dogs and puppies is paramount, but it should be noted that dogs/puppies are susceptible to an easily-treatable, non-life-threatening condition resulting from the presence of small one-celled organisms, such as Coccidia or Giardia, that can live in the intestinal tracts of dogs and cats. While the presence of these organisms usually causes no ill effects, young dogs and those who are under stress or have a suppressed immune system may develop diarrhea. If you notice loose or bloody stool or diarrhea - especially when your puppy is less than six months old - please have a veterinarian test him or her for the presence of Coccidia and Giardia. Since this is a naturally occurring condition that is spread through the environment, it will not be considered a reason for return, refund, or reimbursement of vet bills.
